The Kargil Conflict

July 26th, 1999, is set apart as an epic day in the Indian History. It is the day when near around 530 fighters were martyred under the “Activity Vijay”. It is the day to recollect the saints of our nation who battled courageously to defend our nation from the Pakistani troops and fear mongers into the Indian Territory.

We, as a whole Indians recall this day, however, have we at any point thought the purpose for this frightful war, which killed our such huge numbers of Indian Soldiers. Everything began with a tiff which was then arranged by the then Pakistani Army Chief General Parvez Musharaff without the learning of the then Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. It all started with the Pakistani troops and fear based oppressors going into the Indian Territory in a furtive conduct.

This started a war amongst India and Pakistan , which was there for a time of three months from May 1999 till July 1999. The contention was likewise prominently called as “Operation Vijay” which was set up to make the Kargil Sector clean from the Pakistani fighters and Kashmiri activists on the Indian side of the Line of Control.

The activity was an enormous achievement and India won an unequivocal triumph. It was the then Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who pronounced the task effective on July 14 and the official conclusion of the activity was on July 26 , 1999.

Though, the Indian armed force could overcome the task, yet this drove loosing around 500 military men on the Kargil region.

We feel amazingly glad that due to these officers who are ensuring our nation on the outskirt, we can live calmly and work towards a created economy without worrying about the collective pressures.

At Br International School, we instruct our understudies to be courageous and overcome simply like our fighters and contribute something towards the nation or society and even mankind with the goal that they can be the saints of their own lives.
